We follow the decisions of the Hampstead School District regarding school closings and delayed openings.  There are several ways you can be informed:

• www.wmur.com "Closings and Delays"
• Call (603) 329-9600.  The answering machine will announce the closing/delay.
• www.hazeldrivekids.com will announce the closing/delay on our home page.

PLEASE NOTE: Hampstead Schools tend to err on the side of caution and may close because of predicted snow without a flake in sight.  We suggest routinely checking WMUR after 5:30 a.m. every day in the winter for Hampstead closings/delays.  Our announcements will be in place by 6:00 a.m.

If there is a two-hour delay, we will open at 9:00.

If a snowstorm begins during the school day, we will follow the decision of Hampstead Schools regarding early closing. If Hampstead Schools have a two-hour early closing, Hazel Drive will close at 12:30.  You should check the sources above for information. 

There may be times when Hampstead Schools stay open until their usual dismissal time but the storm continues into the late afternoon. In that case, closing is at our discretion, and will usually be at 4:00.

In the event of an early closing, we will want to have phone contact with every family.  If you cannot be reached, your emergency pick-up person will be called.

You may pick up your child any time during stormy weather without waiting for an announcement. A quick phone call that you are on your way will allow us to have your child ready.
